Poker Stars is the global leader in online poker tournaments, and currently the second largest ring game traffic. Special features include even balancing of the tables during tournaments, and also prevents “stalling” with an individual time bank feature (after time has expired a player must play in normal fashion, or risk there hand being folded, frequent “stalling” results in a reduced time bank), and towards the end of the tournament (usually near the “pay or not to pay” potation) the program waits for other tables to finish the hand, in order to make “stalling” completely ineffective. Poker Stars was a pioneer in the industry in terms of player notes, table statistics, and player statistics. They were also the first to include the feature that allow players to upload there own unique image to represents themselves at the table, making for a more personal playing environment. In conclusion Poker Stars’ software is the best there is for the “serious” poker player.
Traffic
Tournament traffic at Poker Stars is the highest in the industry. This is mainly due to it being the first to release multi-table tournaments, and their ambitious weekly regiment of tournament promotions. Poker Stars’ ring game traffic is the second largest in the world. A large proportion of that is as a result to their popularity in European countries, resulting in heavy traffic at almost all times of the day.
